Gary Young Takes The Cover Of The Undersea Journal!!

I don’t even know how many covers Gary has under his belt but here’s another notch for the Juiceman! I guess you could say this was a bit of a long process for Gary with this cover shot and all. Short story is I used to be pretty afraid of deep dark water, I wanted to overcome that fear and asked Gary if he was down to go through dive certification courses with me. So after a long time of talking about it, getting stoked and heavy planning and organization with PADI, we went through our pool lessons and had our open water certifications at Catalina Island…

There’s lots more to that story but I’ll refrain from typing all that up because nobody cares. So we got our certifications and our open water dive cards and now Gary is scoring new covers of dive magazines like The Undersea Journal. Maybe even some future dive sponsorships from PADI? Who knows… But its pretty awesome how this all worked out. Only thing that bummed me out a bit is that PADI didn’t have an interview with his story, diving experiences or anything in the issue. Somebody blew it on that one!

Special thanks to Drew and all the good people over at PADI for taking care of Gary, Kosman and I.
