Nathan Zoller Takes Surf Portion in Ultimate Boarder Triathlon

The Seaside Reef in Cardiff, CA held the second leg of the Ultimate Boarder Championship where Nathan Zoller took the first place podium.

After completing the snowboarding portion of the Ultimate Boarder Competition in Mammoth Mountain, the riders headed to the coast in hopes of acquiring more points.

I was just hoping to catch a few waves, said professional snowboarder Trevor Jacob who took second in the snow at Mammoth and 23rd in the surf today putting him in 4th place overall going into Saturday s skateboard finale.
That s the thing about Ultimate Boarder , though said Jacob. You have to be good at all three board sports to win this thing; you can t just be good at two disciplines and bomb one.

The next and final stop in the Ultimate Boarder Championship will be the skateboarding vert/ mini ramp leg at the Seaside Reef parking lot. TransWorld Surf Editor, Chris Cote explains it best,

The skateboarding leg is going to be the great equalizer of this competition. That s where people will lay it all down and where you will see the biggest slams and the most entertaining part of Ultimate Boarder .
