Maloof Money Cup Invite List

GrindTV.com has currently released an article regarding the upcoming Maloof Money Cup and their first 24 invited skaters.

What makes the list interesting is not only the skate legends and talent invited, but also the lack of names like Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriquez, Chas Ortiz, Sean Malto, and Eric Koston who will be competition in Rob Dyrdek’s Street League this year.

Even more surprising is that 3-time MMC winner, Chris Cole is not on the list. The Maloof Money Cup has offered a $1 Million bonus for any skate who wins four straight MMC contests. Seems tempting for a 3 time winner like Cole.

While the Street League has an exclusive contract, the article notes Drydek’s statement regarding the bonus;

Cole will be the exception, he’ll be allowed to compete in NYC at the Maloof Money cup for a shot at four in a row and the million dollar bonus. “We’re not going to stop Chris Cole from getting a million dollars, and then he’s right back in Street League, and all the other skaters are for it.”

Here’s the list from GrindTV of the first 24 invited riders.
