BNQT Must Listen: McCartney

Shake your head, roll your eyes if you must, but this is it.. BNQT Must Listen: Paul McCartney. Tonight my mom attended the Paul McCartney concert at Wrigley Field. I bought her the tickets. I’m also vying for Daughter of the Year. It’s probably needless to say, but evidently the concert was amazing. Paul McCartney, out of respect I won’t state his age, played for three hours, to a sold out stadium, doing three encores. And he did the same thing last night. At 11 o’clock at night in the midwest right now it’s still 90 degrees.

I actually had the honor of seeing Sir Paul McCartney play at the United Center the last time he was in Chicago, 5 years ago. I was still in college, broke, but caught a commercial advertising the show (which sold out instantly) and snagged tickets when they were still available without going through a ticket broker. It maxed out my student credit card. This time I had to go through a ticket broker website, coughed up some rent money, only to realize about 5 minutes ago when she sent me a photo alarmingly close to the stage, that I was looking at the map of the field backwards and accidentally bought her premium seats. You’re welcome mom. According to her, “he looks good, he sounded even better”. No kidding. Check out what some of those 50,000 fans per night were lucky enough to see live.
