Promo Girls Love to Give it Away for Free

If you’ve ever been to the US Open of Surfing, the Dew Tour, the X Games, Supercross or a NASCAR event – heck, any event – you’ve no doubt seen promo girls. Bikini clad ladies of corporate color hired by some half baked “modeling agency” under contract with a more fully baked (though sometimes not) “marketing agency” whose sole desire is to leverage the desirability of bronzed babes to help them sell a product or enhance brand awareness.

Typically this includes a free sample of some sort – a chotchkie or product offering – maybe a tube of sunscreen, a stick of deodorant, a frosty energy drink. Perhaps even even a jello shot.

And while getting these items for free while staring at these prominently displayed promo girls is guaranteed, the likelihood that they’ll offer you what you really want in return is assuredly more expensive.

Alas – promo girls – what would the world be without them?
