Billabong Pro 2012 - Opening Ceremony Gallery

The 2012 Billabong Pro Opening Ceremonies went off at Teahupoo in Tahiti on August 15 to mark the beginning of Tahiti’s annual ASP World Tour stop. With blessings to those in attendance and prayers for big waves to come, traditional Tahitian dancers took the stage to mark the outset of this year’s event. Organizers seem prepared to go live tomorrow, August 16 with expected wave heights in the 6-8 foot range. For more be sure to tune into the webcast at http://billabongpro.com/tahiti12/live-gb
