Bruce Irons Leaves Volcom After 20 Years; Signs Multi-Year Deal With Fox Racing

Bruce Irons, one of the most high-profile surfers in the world has left Volcom after 20 years of being the face of the brand. Irons instead, will become the face of Fox Racing in a multi-year contract that was announced this week.

“I have been friends with Pete Fox for many years and have always been a fan of Fox,” said Irons in a statement released to the press. “It is unreal to be part of such a diverse team of world class athletes. I am excited about a fresh start and big things to come.”

Keep an eye out for Iron’s signature collection in clothing, footwear and accessories in early 2013. Irons will join Ian Walsh and Bede Durbidge on the Fox Racing surf roster.

“He is one of the most naturally gifted and exciting surfers in the world and does everything with style and flair,” continued Harrie. “It’s Bruce’s raw edge that fits Fox perfectly. This is part of our broad and long term plan for Fox surf.”
