Shaun White Joins Instagram

Shaun White is no stranger to social media. He has xxx million fans on Facebook and xxx followers on twitter. Apparently, though, the 2-time Olympic gold medal-winning snowboarder had yet to join the instagram bandwagon. Call it preoccupation, or too much time focused on using his GoPro to be bothered photo blogging with the gram machine. that changed today as Shaun (or his people) joined the 3rd largest social network in north america and probably the most important among the 12-24-year-old crowd. To kick things off White chose a select shot showcasing his head-to-toe Shaun White supply / Burton / Target collection of outerwear and accessories. Taken in Breckenridge, CO where he’s gearing up for next week’s big show at X Games in Aspen.

His first insta portrait accompanied simply by three hash-tags.. #snowman #powdereddonut and #roadtosochi.

We won’t know of course until next year Shaun will make the Olympic cut or for that matter if instagram even works in Russia, but we will no doubt be treated to a barrage of ex-flying tomato exploits from the slopes to the sunny shores of California and all travels in between, an example of which is his recent interview with Entertainment tonight.
