Red Bull Cape Fear: Mutant barrels dominate the compitition

After two days of intense action, Red Bull Cape Fear has come to a close for 2016, with 18-year-old South Coast surfer Russell Bierke the last man standing. But for everyone in the contest, simply surving the day was a victory in itself. Monster barrels, exposed rock shelfs, a jagged cliff edge and some meaty mutant slabs made for one of the most incredible surfing contests in the history of the sport. Take a look back at some of the best barrels from the event…there were some HEAVY ones.
