This Is Live: Backyard bowl skating in Huntington Beach

Lights, cameras, hammers – Here’s the best of the best from our live bowl session in Huntington Beach.

In theory, it’s a simple formula. Open up an exclusive backyard bowl to some of the best skateboarders in the world, point the cameras in the right direction, flick a satellite on, and stream it to the world. That was the basic premise for “This Is Live,”and good grief did it deliver.

Alex Sorgente, Chris Russell, Ryan Decenzo, Omar Hassan and more rocked up ready to roll in Huntington, and we gave them the green light to put on a show. At the end of the day, more than 20 ams and pros came in to skate, and in case you missed it, you can see the whole damn thing right now on Red Bull TV.

Above are the night’s greatest hits, highlighted by the efforts of Sorgente, Russell, Josh Mattson, Heimana Reynolds, Nora Vasconcellos and again, for the sake of brevity, more. This was the first but certainly not the last “This Is Live” Red Bull Skateboarding product.
