Boston, August 01, 2016 – In the modern pursuit of happiness, individuals want to invest in memorable experiences over material goods. In order to bring those experiences to life, we proudly introduce Hinterlands, a curated marketplace of professionally certified guides offering unparalleled outdoor experiences.

Hinterlands is a brand new travel app for web and iOS that allows adrenaline seekers to book extraordinary adventures in three simple steps. Search through the curated section of professional guided experiences; choose the adventure best suited, then book and plan the adventure right through the platform. Users can communicate with their guides before and after hitting the trail, leave trusted reviews and store payment information with Stripe integration for quick and secure booking.

“The very nature of wanting to experience the unknown means often that we don’t know where to begin our search,” says Hinterlands CEO Andrew Myerson. “That’s why we founded Hinterlands, an adventure travel service that will help you find the most qualified, knowledgeable local guides, so you can spend your time living the adventure, not just dreaming about it.”

Teaming up with a core group of athletes and locals, Hinterlands has curated a list of the top tour guides in each selected market. With Hinterlands, guides are easily able to create and manage custom adventures by setting the difficulty and duration of the trip, selecting the group size and cost associated, and determining availability. Other key features include in-app alerts for new messages and requests, reservation management, in-app messaging for easy guide to adventurer communication and seamless payment though the app.

Initially launching in the Aspen Valley, Hinterlands has partnered with top guiding companies including Aspen Alpine Guides, Aspen Outfitting Company and Aspen Cycling Tours. Whether it is hiking, biking, trail running or rock climbing, Aspen Alpine Guides will lead users through the best local trails and climbs. From the iconic Independence Pass, to the infamous US Pro Challenge course, Aspen Cycling Tours will pedal users through some of the best bike loops on planet earth. End the adventure on the Roaring Fork River for a day of world-class fly fishing with Aspen Outfitting Company.

“We decided to partner with Hinterlands as a smart way to grow our own profile, with easy, direct access and marketing to clients nationwide and internationally,” says Aspen Cycling Tours Owner, Iain Whitaker.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to present our company on this platform as it allows for the aforementioned growth, as we go through our own expansion from Colorado and California into Montana. I’ve come to view all of my interactions with the crew at Hinterlands as nothing but positive, formed by good people excited to share and connect beautiful and intense outdoor experiences with adventurers and athletes of every level.”
