Aspen Snowmass launches new app for skiers and riders

ASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo.—Jan. 17, 2017 — Available for free download at both iTunes and Google Play stores, the new Aspen Snowmass mobile app offers a convenient way to access mountain conditions, skiing / riding data and town information in the palm of your hand. Aspen Snowmass’ updated mobile application serves as a hub of resources for our guests, to include skier data and a variety of mountain conditions to help Aspen Snowmass guests plan out an amazing day on any of our four mountains.

The Digital and Technology teams at Aspen Snowmass worked together with Mapleton Hill (development), Karsh Hagan (creative marketing) and SkiLynx (mapping technology) to build a custom application integrating several resort systems to provide guests with a seamless experience. This platform allows for future expansion of the app, including guest self-service, direct communication with our guests, in-resort marketing and even ecommerce.

“We’re excited to bring the new app to our local and global audience,” says, John Lilley, Vice President of Technology for Aspen Skiing Company. “This app will serve as a hub for all things Aspen Snowmass, both on-and off-mountain. It’s important to us that the app appeal to both our destination guests and our local skiers. Over time, we’ll continue adding meaningful functionality to the platform to further improve our guests’ experience.”

The Aspen Snowmass app features:

<liTracked skier days, broken down by mountain

<liInteractive mapping that tracks your movement and exact location on each mountain

<liMountain Conditions, including weather, mountain cams, snow totals, grooming reports and lift status

<liEvents and activities, to stay in the know of fun things happening on our mountains and in town

<liLogin process that syncs the app with your Aspen ID and skier data, to keep your entire Aspen <liSnowmass Experience in one place.

  • Access to lift tickets, lessons and rental information and pricing.
