The 2017 Hard Enduro World Series kicked off in earnest with the opening day of competition at Red Bull Minas Riders treating riders to a wet and wild start in Ouro Preto near Belo Horizonte. Spaniard Alfredo Gómez was first to make his mark on the week long race, pulling off the prologue victory in what proved to be extremely challenging conditions.
