Super surf pro Gabriel Medina recently signed an endorsement deal with Oakley, which makes total sense. But his latest deal with Rip Curl footwear is strange. Rip Curl makes wetsuits, board shorts, bikinis and tank tops. Not footwear. Or at least that's the perception of the average surfer. Maybe Medinia should have held out for a more formal footwear brand like a Vans or Globe or Nike? But hey, whatever floats his surfboard.
