His first run, that scored 98 points, was close to perfect. He threw in his now classic backside air at nearly 6 metres above the pipe. Connoisseurs will appreciate. His run also included a trick he invented: the front double cork 1260.

 

His main opponent, Louie Vito, would not be able to bump him from first place. Even thought he put in his most consistent run. The Swiss rider Iouri Podlachtikov, aka ‘Ipod’ didn’t manage to land his new trick, a switch double mc twist 1260. That could have changed the deal. In the end, Iouri finishes third.

 

The event was also a great popular success in Tignes, with a crowd of more than 41.500 coming out to enjoy the show.
