Mammoth Backcountry Mission

With the snow pack getting up to par in the Sierra Nevadas, film crews are starting to venture into the backcountry. Mammoth local and shred photographer, Kevin Westenbarger, caught up with Gabe Taylor, Shayne Pospisil, and Peter Benchetler filming for Mammoth’s new video “Another Day in Paradiseâ€. On this particular day they decided to hike from Mammoth Mountain to a zone that is in the John Muir Wilderness, where snowmobiles are not allowed, to find new lines and unridden jumps. Totino's Field Notes - Road to the 2010 US Open of Snowboarding. It's been an interesting year for Totino's team riders Danny Davis and Mason Aguirre. After starting strong in the Fall and early season, with great contest results at the Totino's Open in Breckenridge, both riders suffered injuries. Danny is out for the year, but Mason recently came back and plans to throw down at next week's US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT. |
