I had the pleasure of attending Red Bull's Los Angeles premiere of the Art of Flight 3D movie at the AMC Criterion in Santa Monica last Thursday November 29, 2012 and man was it a trip! For everyone who has seen the original Art of Flight movie which made its debut last September, the 3D version proves that it IS possible to make one of the best action sport films ever made, even better. How you ask? The breath-taking shots, meaningful storytelling, and jaw-dropping action were only amplified in 3D and made re-watching the film in theaters an incredible experience The event was attended by one of the stars of the film, John Jackson and filmmaker Curt Morgan. Although I consider myself somewhat composed around celebrities, I was a bit giddy sitting a few seats away from 300's Gerard Butler.
Lucky for you, the film will drop nation-wide in select AMC theaters on December 7, 2012 just in time for you to get inspired before you hit the slopes this winter. Go to www.artofflightmovie.com for to check out if a theatre near you is showing. If you can't make it to the movies, the film will also be available via TUGG throughout December 2012 and Winter 2013. TUGG is a web-platform that gives movie-goers the ability the set up a movie showing of their choice in their local theaters. All you need to do is to get you and your buddies to decide on a theatre location and time and spread the info online to the rest of the community. Once enough people reserve tickets, the participating local theatre will be able to book a showing, sweet huh?
