Dew Tour 2017 - What To Expect

The Dew Tour gets underway this weekend at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.

The all skateboarding event is poised to showcase the top talent from around the skateboarding community in multiple skate disciplines including skate street, bowl and even a team competition along with outdoor free concerts for the fans.

Along with the Pro Skate Contests, the Dew Tour has also invited over 100 amateur skateboarders to compete through the weekend in their own stand alone contests.

Working in close collaboration with The Enthusiast Network’s (TEN) core action sports media brands and in partnership with Mountain Dew, the Dew Tour continues to progress events and content, bringing millions of action sports fans engaging stories and experiences across digital and broadcast mediums including dewtour.com and broadcasting on NBC.

Skateable Art Sculpture Garden

Where: Long Beach Convention Center – Dew Tour Experience

When: Thursday, June 15 – Sunday, June 18, 11:00am – 6:00pm

Mountain Dew and TEN bring this year’s Dew Tour art scene to life with the first-ever public skateable art sculpture garden, curated by LA-based artist Steven Harrington, known for his contemporary psychedelic-pop art, and built by the world’s best skate park builder, CA Ramp Works. Mountain Dew athletes Jordan Maxham and Chris Colbourn have also played a pivotal role in the creation of the sculptures, providing expertise and feedback to ensure that the park remains as authentic to the core skate community as possible. Following the Dew Tour weekend, the four custom art sculptures/obstacles will be donated and relocated to Silverado Skatepark, a free local outdoor skatepark in Long Beach that is in dire need of an obstacle upgrade.

Music Concert featuring hip hop artists Metro Boomin, Cam’ron and Amine

Where: Long Beach Convention Center – Rainbow Lagoon Park

When: Saturday, June 17, Doors open at 7:00pm

The outdoor concert is open to all ages and will take place within the Dew Tour’s festival grounds. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the concert will take place at 7 p.m.  While the event is free, all concert-goers must download a ticket via the Dew Tour app presented by Moto Z Droid.
Fans looking for the ultimate experience at this summer’s Dew Tour can purchase VIP Experience passes. VIP passes give fans access to exclusive viewing areas that will get them up-close to all of the action, athletes and courses, the Saturday night concert and beverages. Mountain Dew Experience

The Mountain Dew Experience  features many inspiring and creative points of engagement for Dew fans, highlighting the “there’s no feeling like doing” global campaign. The Green Label Gallery, an art installation curated by artists Andy Mueller and Andy Jenkins of LA’s Art Dump Collective, will showcase live art creation and a gallery of various artwork created by both Mueller and Jenkins. Their art will be featured on customizable hats created throughout the weekend and fans can earn Social Store points via social scavenger hunt tasks listed within the free downloadable Dew Tour mobile app to purchase art and other exciting products. Dew skate team autograph sessions will be hosted inside the Dew Experience and Dew products will be available for sampling.
