Fishermen endure sea of surprises in close calls and odd encounters; videos

Fishing stories aren’t always about the ones that got away or the catches of a lifetime. Sometimes they’re about unexpected encounters.

We’ve come across fishing tales in recent years that range from the odd (a tarpon eating a man’s arm), to the crazy (ice fishermen sent scrambling amid cracking ice), to the surprising (a surfacing nuclear submarine), to the shocking (a great white shark knocking a fisherman off his kayak).
