Extreme weather videos show catastrophic effects

Extreme weather has proven catastrophic in several parts of Europe and South Asia in the past few days with the hardest hit area being India where casualties are rising at an alarming rate.

From the Times of Israel Friday: “Kerala has been battered by record monsoon rainfall this year and is ‘facing the worst floods in 100 years,’ chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a Twitter statement, adding that 324 lives had been lost so far.”

The Times also reported that more than 150,000 people are homeless across the state of Kerala.

Major flooding has also been reported in Serbia, Spain and Italy. Severe Weather Europe’s Facebook page documented the severe effects from the weather in the past week. Here are a few examples:
