Cub keeps sliding down snowy cliff but never loses resolve

A momma bear, using her big claws as crampons, showed how easy it was to climb to the top of a snowy cliff, but the same task proved much more difficult for her little cub, which kept sliding down the face of the steep embankment.

Dmitry Kedrov captured the remarkable video in the Magadan Region of Russia in June, but the video made its public debut on ViralHog, which told BNQT it believes “this is a fresh video.”

The video shows the momma bear at the top anxiously waiting for her cub to negotiate the snowy cliff.

The cub slides down a ways twice before making the long climb back to the top. Just as the cub gets feet away from safety, the momma bear makes an apparent grab at the cub but misses, and the cub is sent on its longest slide.

Fortunately it has a happy ending as the persistent cub makes the long and tedious climb back to the top and finally is reunited with its momma. They then go running off toward the woods.

Photo is a screen grab from the video.
